Bayua Beach Inn Homestay offers budget backpacker accommodation in an idyllic setting on the edge of Lake Maninjau, in West Sumatra, Indonesia.
The Inn has two rooms and three bungalows, located right on the lake and surrounded by coconut palms and rice paddies. The Inn is just outside the village of Bayur, a 3.5 hour drive from Padang International Airport.
Around the lake you can swim, canoe, walk, hike, cycle and explore the local villages, markets and local flora and fauna. Or you can just relax in a hammock while you enjoy the scenery, climate, and the beautiful sunsets.
Lake Maninjau is a 460 metre deep clear, fresh water crater lake, surrounded by tree covered mountains and encircled by a 66 km road. Although set some 450 m above sea level, the water in the lake is commonly about 30°C because it is fed by hot springs in the area – in other words, perfect swimming all year round!
